This year Carrickfergus College celebrates a very special anniversary. This website will be Updated with News and Info about events surrounding the 50th Anniversary Celebrations taking place in 2009/10. So please keep checking back for all the latest info!

It was 50 years ago, on the 2nd September 1959 that Carrickfergus Secondary Intermediate School (now Carrickfergus College) was formally opened by Captain Dodds H.M.L; the first secondary school to be built in the area. The College is planning to mark this special anniversary by hosting a series of events to take place throughout 2009/10:

• The anniversary celebrations will start off on 24th September 2009 with a nostalgic trip down memory lane for former pupils and staff.
• To celebrate the talents of past and present pupils, a spring concert will be held in March 2010.
