Jeff Rich | Drum & Percussion Master Class

Jeff Rich the drummer from the legendary band 'Status Quo' visited the College last week to give a percussion workshop. Year 8 pupils along with GCSE music students and drummers all attended the event which proved to be a great success.

The workshop began with the history of the drum which was brought alive through demonstration and pupil participation. All the pupils got to join in with Jeff at the drumkit and each of us, staff included were, given a piece of percussion to play.

Finally Jeff talked about the drum kit and rudiments of drumming allowing pupils to play his drum kit. Mark Deering and Jason Allen the lucky pupils with Miss Callaghan showing her skills too!

A great morning was had by everyone who participated!
