We were fortunate enough to have Kevin Killen a renowned Irish Sculptor visit Carrickfergus College to hold a workshop on wire work with Sixth form pupils studying for their Art A level on 19th January 2009. Kevin produces sculptures up to 30ft high for local councils, hospitals, schools and private collectors. He hails from Loughisland and his work reaches between £10000 - £35000 and is produced using scrap metals and more recently concrete and he has just produced the Percy French stainless steel sculptures on the Newcastle walkway for Down District Council.
