On Tuesday 19th November Paul Wilson one of Irelands best known and successful artists visited the College to work with Art and Design A level pupils. Paul has recently completed a portrait of the last Lord Mayor of Belfast commissioned to hang in the newly refurbished Belfast City Hall. He is also responsible for the large paintings of George Best hanging in the Waterfront Hall. He demonstrated a pastel painting of Belfast Lough and each pupil created their own painting in the master class.
As part of the Applied Art and Design A level live artists are brought in to work with the pupils sharing not only their art skills but their business knowledge. We look forward to meeting new artists, sculptors and designers in the future and value the experiences given by accomplished artists such as Paul Wilson.
