Royal Marines VisitOctober 2008 |
During October 2008 pupils from Carrickfergus College were under the wings of three Royal Marines experts, as part of the PE departments Business and Enterprise drive. Year 11 and 12 GCSE PE pupils as well as Year 11 boys groups participated in the highly successful and enjoyable activities.
Throughout the sessions pupils were involved in numerous physical activities in the gym, followed by some team work activities outside. This included using personal skills such as leadership, cooperation and creativity to undertake a variety of tasks set by the Marines. A real insight into what would be involved in the Royal Marines was taught.
