Trip to Tayto Castle 2008November 2008 |
Our trip to Tayto Castle took place on Friday the 21st of November 2008.
The Journey took about an hour and a half but remained exciting and amusing the entire journey. More than half way through the journey, in the middle of the motorway, Mr Kinkaid played a prank on Miss Blair, telling her that the tour guide had be taken to hospital and that all trips were to be cancelled. Miss Blair, gullible as she is (only joking) believed every word of it. We all found this quite amusing.
Once we got to the factory we met Mr Tayto and got photos taken with him, after that we had to remove our jewellery and blazers and everything from out pockets for hygiene purposes. We got a full tour of the factory but weren’t allowed into the area were they make cheese and onion flavour crisps because that is their best flavour and they don’t want anyone stealing their recipe. We also got to taste hot fresh and unflavoured crisps as well as salt and vinegar spirals.
The trip ended all too soon, and we quickly found ourselves back at the beginning, removing the aprons and hairnets, we were given a free pack of whatever flavour we wanted, me, being me the child that I am chose Bikers and had them all eaten before the day came to an end.
After we left, we went to McDonalds that was near-by for our lunch.
