Year 10 Enterprise and InnovationSeptember 2008 |
On Wednesday 10th September year 10 took part in an Enterprise and Innovation Day organised by the Maths Department and Sentinus. Groups of pupils worked together in 3 different sessions.
Leadership activity - the group had to choose a director, a production manager, a design engineer and a manufacturing engineer. Their task was to build a replica of a knex car with only the production manager able to view the original. The remainder of the team had to ask him yes/no questions in order to build the car.
Product Development – the group had to design the next generation iPhone! Build activity – the group had to build and operate a hovercraft made from polystyrene takeaway box. Some groups even got to race their hovercraft!
