WHAT IS GEOGRAPHY?
“Geography is about people, places and the environment. By making a study of it we learn about different countries and their problems and so gain a greater insight into our own problems and environment. In Geography we study many exciting topics. Don’t take my word for it, read some of the things our pupils have to say”.
About our Department
There are 3 full time members of staff in the Geography Department. The Department has excellent facilities and access to the most up-to-date technology including computers. All of our pupils are encouraged to participate in active learning; fieldtrips, educational visits and project work are incorporated into our schemes of work. Within the Geography Department we offer GCSE’s in Geography and Travel and Tourism. A number of our pupils then progress to the various advanced level courses offered in our Sixth form.
