Carrickfergus College is a partner school in the Carrickfergus Learning Community which aims to offer pupils at both GCSE and post 16 study a wider/more diverse range of courses to study. This initiative has been up and running for approximately 5 years now and has allowed over 100 students at present to gain access to qualifications previously not offered.
Each school has a Coordinator who takes care of the day to day running of the Learning Community and the CLC also have Mr Bill Bailie who acts as their overall coordinator.
Below are a list of the subjects currently offered through the CLC, however these are reviewed on an annual basis.

Admissions Criteria
Students wishing to access the above mentioned courses must:-
- Have met the school criteria for returning to their own school to complete sixth form studies.
- Meet the entry requirements for the individual subject they wish to study.
