About our Department
The Science Department consists of six fully equipped laboratories. A number of these have undergone recent refurbishment with the installation of Interactive Whiteboards and the latest computer hardware. All labs have data projectors to enhance the quality of teaching and learning. The addition of a new laboratory and preparation room in 2002 has made the teaching and learning facilities amongst the best available.
Key Stage 3
Pupils in Years 8-10 have the opportunity to study a wide variety of scientific topics as part of the Key Stage 3 Curriculum. These topics are derived from the main subject areas of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Pupils learn and develop their skills through investigative and experimental work and through the use of Information and Learning Technology (ILT) which is available through the department.
